The biggest swing in the championship standings after the Miami Grand Prix came from Franco Colapinto, whose 7th-place finish from 8th on the grid vaulted him from 16th to 11th in the standings. Those 6 points in Miami took him to 7 overall for Alpine, a reminder that a single productive weekend can reframe the early-season picture when the table is still tightly packed outside the top tier.
At the front, Miami was more about consolidation than disruption. Andrea Kimi Antonelli led from the top of the points table before the weekend and still does now, his victory from pole adding 25 points to bring him to 100. With Mercedes team-mate George Russell second on 80, the gap remains a clear 20 points, and the top three is unchanged with Charles Leclerc holding third for Ferrari on 59.
Behind them, smaller movements still carried significance. Max Verstappen climbed two places from ninth to seventh, sitting on 26 points for Red Bull, while Lando Norris edged up from fifth to fourth on 51. The flip side was visible too: Lewis Hamilton dropped from fourth to fifth, also on 51, underlining how position changes can happen even without a points gap opening up. Further back, Gabriel Bortoleto’s Miami run—from 21st on the grid to 12th, classified lapped—left him on 2 points and sliding from 13th to 15th for Audi.
