His +10.78 score means his points-per-race across the most recent three rounds is running 10.78 higher than his average across the earlier rounds of 2026, and that swing is big enough to depose previous leader Charles Leclerc.
It also underlines just how sharp Norris’s recent form looks relative to his own season baseline. At Circuit Park Zandvoort he delivered the cleanest possible headline result within the facts we have: pole position converted into victory for 25 points over 72 laps, a weekend that neatly matches the Momentum ranking’s purpose — measuring acceleration, not total season status.
Norris’s takeover doesn’t mean the rest of the podium is settled. Leclerc drops to second on +3.67 and Verstappen sits third on +3.56, leaving just 0.11 between them. In a metric that’s explicitly about the difference between “now” and “before”, that gap is small enough to frame the next shift as a matter of marginal gains rather than a dramatic reversal.
What changed this week is the shape of the top three itself: the ordering moved, and the ranking flags that the top three changed.
